When Gia discovers her grandfather’s old golf clubs, she’s inspired to try something new. As she learns the game of golf, Gia builds confidence, patience, and belief in herself. When the clubs mysteriously disappear just before her first big moment, she learns that the true magic isn’t in the clubs at all, but within her.
Written by Chill Moody, founder of We Golf Now, Gia the Golfer reflects the organization’s mission to make the sport and business of golf more accessible to Black and Brown youth. Through storytelling, the book introduces golf as a welcoming space while reinforcing the same values taught in We Golf Now programs: perseverance, self-belief, and community.
Gia the Golfer serves as both a story and a starting point, supporting We Golf Now’s youth programming in classrooms, afterschool spaces, and on the course.
